University of Exeter Undergraduate Scholarships 2026/27 for India

About the award

The University of Exeter is offering scholarships to international students from India enrolling on an eligible Undergraduate programme in September 2026. 

These scholarships help make sure aspiring students from this country can pursue their chosen Undergraduate degree and take their place in our thriving university community. Here, students will develop their academic skills for the future and contribute to a diverse student experience.

Scholarships available:

£3,000 (recurring) - for direct entry to the first year of an eligible Undergraduate programme in September 2026.

  • Ecology and Conservation
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Finance and Accounting
  • Geography
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Management
  • Natural Sciences
  • Physics and Astronomy

  • Biosciences
  • Clinical and Biomedical Sciences
  • Health and Care professions
  • Health and Community Sciences
  • Psychology
  • Public Health and Sports Sciences

  • Arab and Islamic Studies
  • Archaeology and History
  • Classics, Ancient History, Religion and Theology
  • Communications, Drama and Film
  • English and Creative Writing
  • Humanities and Social Sciences, Cornwall
  • Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies
  • Law School
  • Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy and Anthropology

All campus-based Undergraduate degrees in the above areas are eligible, except the following:

Ineligible Undergraduate programmes - BMBS Medicine; Law programmes delivered by the University of Law; Dual LLB/Juris Doctor (JD) with the Chinese University of Hong Kong; LLB Engineering and Law (HKUST); Graduate Law LLB; LLB Law: Brickfields Asia College; Simon Fraser University, Canada, double-degree partnership; Degree Apprenticeships.

Entry requirements

These awards are available to applicants who:

  • are a citizen/passport holder of India and therefore classed as an International student for fees purposes;
  • hold an offer to study an eligible campus-based Undergraduate programme at the University of Exeter, entering year one of that programme directly in September 2026.  

Students progressing from University of Exeter International Study Centre (ISC) International Foundation are not eligible. 

(These scholarships are intended for self-funded students.)

This scholarship will be allocated automatically to eligible applicants for entry in the 2026/27 academic year. A separate application is not required.

These scholarships are awarded as a reduction in the International tuition fees for each eligible year of study. They can be combined with a £3,000 or £5,000 recurring Exeter Excellence Scholarship 2026/27 - Undergraduate award. Please read the full Terms and Conditions for these scholarships

University of Exeter Postgraduate Taught Scholarships 2026/27 for India

About the award

The University of Exeter is offering scholarships worth £7,500 to international students from India enrolling on an eligible Postgraduate Taught (Masters) programme in September 2026 or January 2027.

These scholarships help make sure aspiring students from this country can pursue their chosen taught Masters degree and take their place in our thriving university community. Here, students will develop their academic skills for the future and contribute to a diverse student experience. 

Scholarships available:

Awards are being offered for September 2026 entry by the following departments:

  • Computer Science
  • Earth and Environmental Science
  • Ecology and Conservation

  • Finance and Accounting

  • Management
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Physics and Astronomy

  • Biosciences
  • Clinical and Biomedical Sciences

  • Arab and Islamic Studies
  • Archaeology and History
  • Classics, Ancient History, Religion and Theology
  • Communications, Drama and Film
  • English and Creative Writing
  • Languages, Cultures and Visual Studies

  • School of Education
  • Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy and Anthropology

These scholarships are available for all campus-based Masters programmes in the above areas, excluding the following ineligible programmes: One Planet MBA; MA International Film Business; MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation; Clinical Psychology programmes delivered by Clinical Education, Development and Research (CEDAR); DEdPsych Educational Child and Community Psychology; Master of Public Administration (MPA) with Applied Study; Law programmes delivered by the University of Law, MA Law (SQE1), MA Law (Conversion), LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1&2), SQE Preparation Courses); Graduate Law LLB; MiPDAL Dual Masters in Intellectual Property Law; Postgraduate Certificates; Postgraduate Diplomas; Degree Apprenticeships. Fully online or distance learning programmes are also not eligible.

Awards for January 2027 entry are being offered for the programmes listed here only:

Entry requirements

These awards are available to applicants who:

  • are a citizen/passport holder of India and therefore classed as an International student for fees purposes;
  • hold an offer to study an eligible Masters programme at the University of Exeter beginning in the 2026/27 academic year.

And will be received by those who go on to:

  • meet the conditions of that offer as set out in their offer letter, including paying a tuition fees deposit;
  • enrol on that programme in 2026/27.

(These awards are intended for self-funded students.)

This scholarship will be allocated automatically to eligible applicants applying for entry in the 2026/27 academic year. A separate application is not required. 

These scholarships are awarded as a reduction in the tuition fees for the first year of study. They are not recurrent for subsequent years of study. This award can be combined with an Exeter Excellence Scholarship 2026/27 - Postgraduate Taught award to a maximum award value of £10,000. Please read the full Terms and Conditions for these scholarships . (Please note that the application deadline shown below is for September 2026 entry, for January 2027 entry the application deadline is 1 December 2026.)
