Oxford International Education Group - The University of Notre Dame - Sydney Campus Scholarships

 

1. Purpose of Scholarship

The University of Notre Dame Australia (University) offers the International Welcome Scholarship to provide tuition assistance to international students enrolling in Undergraduate programs at Notre Dame, excluding the Bachelor of Nursing.

 

2. Value of Scholarship

The value of the Scholarship is 25 percent (25%) of annual indicative tuition fees for the full duration of the program. The Scholarship is awarded as a partial tuition fee waiver and does not cover costs such as living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover or any other costs associated with study

 

3. Eligibility Requirements

  • Any student who satisfies the eligibility requirements set out in these Conditions will be considered for the Scholarship.
  • To be eligible for the Scholarship, students must:
    • Be international full fee-paying students commencing an undergraduate coursework program, excluding the Bachelor of Nursing for the first time at The University of Notre Dame Australia;
    • Have accepted an Offer of Admission (by the relevant deadline) and satisfied any admission requirements to study in any CRICOS registered undergraduate degree where the program is delivered on the University’s Sydney or Fremantle (Perth) Campuses; and
    • Be eligible to apply for a Higher Education Sector Visa (Subclass 500).

For clarity, students are not eligible if they:

  • Hold, or are eligible to hold, permanent residency in Australia;
  • Are studying at the University as part of a study abroad or exchange program;
  • Are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University;
  • Do not commence study in the session (semester) and year indicated in their offer. If commencement is deferred, any scholarship will be forfeited;
  • Have had more than 200 units of credit or advanced standing awarded in relation to the postgraduate program they are commencing; or
  • Are sponsored by a non-Australian Government funding body, under an agreement or arrangement that the funding body has with Murdoch.

 

4. Selection Criteria and Process

There is no selection or application for this scholarship as it is automatically awarded to students who meet all the eligibility criteria.


5. Duration of Scholarship

Full duration of the applicable program


6. Concurrent Scholarships

The Scholarship may not be held concurrently with another scholarship awarded by the University or any other organisation that covers the cost of tuition fees (fully or partially) to study at the University.


7. Method of Payment

Subject to the Terms and Conditions set out in clause 09 being met, the Scholarship will be awarded by way of a direct credit towards the recipient’s University tuition fee account on a semester-by-semester basis.

 
8. Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the Scholarship:

  • The recipient will forfeit the Scholarship if they:
    • Fail to finalise all requirements to complete the admission process to commence study at the University within the relevant timeframes;
    • Fail to remain enrolled on a full time basis in the initial program of study as confirmed on their University Offer of Admission;
    • Defer their studies and/or terminate their enrolment;
    • Are terminated from their program of study;
    • Transfer to another institution;
    • Transfer from full-time to part-time study, unless granted an exemption;
    • Fail to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress;
    • Have a finding of misconduct made against them whether or not that finding results in their termination from the University or any other penalties;
    • Fail to provide up-to-date contact and/or financial details to the University;
    • Do not abide by the University’s deadlines for payment of tuition fees; or
    • Change their Australian visa status from Subclass 500 (Higher Education Section).
  • The recipient must notify the International Office in writing immediately if they:
    • Have been approved to transfer to another program at the University;
    • Want to Study Abroad on a University affiliated placement;
    • Wish to transfer from the University to another institution;
    • Intend to withdraw and/or seek retrospective withdrawal from any University courses they have enrolled in;
    • Have obtained approval to defer their studies and/or take a Leave of Absence from the University; or
    • Want to discontinue full-time study and have been placed on an approved Intervention Strategy.
  • If the recipient completes their program of study at the University prior to the anticipated end date, they will not be eligible for any financial payment of the scholarship which has not yet been paid.
  • Any further studies taken at the University in excess of, or in addition to, the recipient’s initial program of study will not be covered by the Scholarship.
  • The recipient must seek independent advice from the relevant authorities on the effect, if any, that the Scholarship may have on their eligibility for income support or any tax implications, either within Australia or their home country.

The value of the Scholarship is $10,000 of annual indicative tuition fees for the full duration of the program. The Scholarship is awarded as a partial tuition fee waiver and does not cover costs such as living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover or any other costs associated with study

 

3. Eligibility Requirements

Any student who satisfies the eligibility requirements set out in these Conditions will be considered for the Scholarship.

The Scholarship is awarded as a partial tuition fee waiver and does not cover costs such as living expenses, accommodation, transport, overseas student health cover or any other cost associated with study.

 

3. Eligibility Requirements

Any student who satisfies the eligibility requirements set out in these Conditions will be considered for the Scholarship.
