Oregon State University launches New Graduate Award scholarships

Oregon State University is pleased to announce the launch of a new, comprehensive Graduate Award for students enrolling at Oregon State University. These awards will apply for any qualified student who has an offer from December 2025 intake onwards and will automatically be added to the offers. All existing offer holders and confirmed students will also receive this scholarship.  
 
Highlights:
•     Graduate Awards globally for students coming through the MID and Graduate Pathway programs. 
•     Graduate Awards are automatic-awards that are renewable for every term of the student’s program from the first term until graduation.

Any student who receives an offer for an OSU GPW or MID program will receive: 

Total Scholarship value for the duration of the Grad degree

4 terms

5 terms

6 terms

College of Business ($5,000 per term on Grad Business)

MID / MEng and All Others Grad programs ($3,000 per term on all other majors)

$12,000

$15,000

$18,000

Please note that the duration of program can vary:
•     Some MID students may graduate in 4 terms (12 months).
•     Most MID students, 1-term and 2-term GPW students graduate in 5 terms (15-months). 
•     Most 3-term GPW students graduate in 6 terms (18 months). 
 
Exclusions:
•     US citizens, US passport holders, students granted in-state tuition and sponsored students are not eligible for the award. 
•     Students domiciled in China, Hong Kong, Macau are not included.
•     Students studying below 9 credits in a term may receive a pro-rata scholarship amount.

Provost's Scholarships for Excellence
• No scholarship application required, qualified applicants automatically considered
• Based on academic qualifications
• Applicable to International Direct and International Year One students with a
minimum GPA 3.5+ (or IB 30+ or A-level two Bs and one C) upon high school or
secondary school completion
• Applicable to Undergraduate Transfer Program or direct entry transfer students
with a minimum GPA 3.25+ in undergraduate level coursework
• Renewable as long as student remains in good academic standing, maintaining a
GPA 3.0+
• Can not be combined with Regional Awards or Regional Scholarships

Regional scholarship
• Limited availability: first come, first served
• Applicable to International Direct, International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer
Program enrollments
• Can not be combined with Regional Awards in regions that receive $16,000/year
• Personal statement or scholarship interview may be required for some regions

Regional award
• No scholarship application is required, qualified applicants are automatically
awarded with offer.
• Applicable to International Direct and International Year One and Undergraduate
Transfer Program enrollments.
• Awarding Region is based on the country of residence.
• Students on government scholarships or sponsored by an external entity are not
eligible for this award.
• Renewable as long as student remains in good academic standing, maintaining a
GPA of 2.0+.

Continued Success Scholarship
• No application needed, automatically awarded following successful completion of
International Direct, International Year One or Undergraduate Transfer Program and
matriculation to OSU if students meet the following eligibility requirements:
• Achieve a minimum GPA 3.5 in International Direct, International Year One or
Undergraduate Transfer Program to qualify for $3,000 per year
• Achieve a minimum GPA 3.75 in International Direct, International Year One or
Undergraduate Transfer Program to qualify for $5,000 per year
• Maintain consecutive enrollment at OSU as a full time degree seeking student in an
approved undergraduate program
• Renewable as long as student remains in good academic standing, maintaining a
GPA 3.5+
• Can not be combined with Regional Award or Provost Scholarship for Excellence.

Graduate Scholarships:
Regional scholarship
• Limited availability: first come, first served
• Personal statement or scholarship interview may be required for some regions

Continued Success Scholarship
• Successful completion of first term of Master’s International Direct or successful
matriculation to OSU from Graduate Pathway
• Achieve a minimum GPA 3.5 in all coursework taken during Graduate Pathway or
Master’s International Direct to qualify for $3,000 per year
• Achieve a minimum GPA 3.75 in all coursework taken during Graduate Pathway or
Master’s International Direct to qualify for $5,000 per year
• Maintain consecutive enrollment at OSU as a full time degree seeking student in an
approved graduate program
• Renewable as long as student remains in good academic standing, maintaining a
GPA 3.5+
• Can not be combined with graduate tuition remission or OSU assistantships
Undergraduate scholarships:
Provost's Scholarships for Excellence-Up to $24,000 ($6,000 per year)
Regional scholarship-Up to $8,000 (Up to $8,000 during the first year (one-time reward))
Regional award-Up to $64,000 ($8,000 - $16,000 per year)
Continued Success Scholarship-Up to $15,000 ($3,000 - $5,000 per year)

Graduate Scholarships:
Regional scholarship-Up to $7,500 (Up to $7,500 during the first year (one-time reward))
Continued Success Scholarship-Up to $10,000 ($3,000-$5,000 per year) Available year 2-4
