What You'll Learn

The M.S. in Kinesiology is designed for students who are interested in the study of the art and science of kinesiology pertaining to sociological, psychological, pedagogical, physiological and neuromechanical factors underlying the responses and adaptations to acute and chronic exercise and performance.

The core curriculum prepares students for studying the physiological, psychosocial and artistic aspects of physical activity and sport performance.

You can take elective courses in various areas, such as adapted physical activity, exercise science, dance, sport studies and pedagogy.

    MSP Tanni Block Memorial LGBTQIA+ Scholarship:

    • Award amount: $1,250
    • Eligibility: Continuing undergraduate or graduate students (including international students) with a minimum GPA of 2.0
    • Requirements: Advocacy and involvement with LGBTQIA+ communities, leadership experience, and commitment to inclusivity

    Alumni Higher Education Program:

    • Award amount: $1,000
    • Eligibility: CSUN alumni pursuing graduate education at CSUN with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (undergraduate) or 3.5 (graduate)
