Program Overview
This course is delivered by specialists, who are engaged in cutting-edge research, and a variety of visiting specialist lecturers, ranging from Hospital Consultants to Senior Biomedical Scientists. These sessions, which specifically focus on developing areas of biomedical science common to all associated disciplines, include recent advances in genetics and immunology, which will equip you with the skills necessary to either complement your clinical laboratory responsibilities if you are currently employed, or to provide you with essential skills needed for seeking future employment or starting a research career. The course is also a suitable stepping-stone for those considering a career in biomedical research.
The course we provide leads to an Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) accredited MSc Award. As an Institution we have held accredited status for this award for over 25 years, and this is borne out by its continued accreditation by our professional body.

Scholarships
International School Scholarships
These awards will be targeted at attracting students from key international schools globally, undertaking all three years of Undergraduate and to support the establishment of the University of Wolverhampton brand and to support diversification of the student population.
International School Scholarship Value: £1,000 per year – awarded automatically
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate programme at University of Wolverhampton for entry in academic year 2025/2026 by 31st July 2026, or A Level results day.
- Only applicants who have been assessed as overseas students for tuition fee purposes can access this scholarship.
- Awarded automatically for all 3 years of studies.
- Scholarships are not transferable and are only available for entry in academic year 2025/2026
- These scholarships are available only to students paying international fees
- Students receiving any of the International School Scholarship would also be eligible for the Lord Paul Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship
- Applicants will not be eligible for the scholarship if you defer your entry
- Applicants must be self-funding and not in receipt of a scholarship from an external source
- The Global Opportunities Office reserves the right to amend the list based on the partnerships/discussion with the International Schools
- Recipients are required to take part in out student ambassador and/or mentoring schemes, promoting the value of studying at the University of Wolverhampton
