Program Overview

Combining your preparation studies with your postgraduate degree in a single two-year study plan. A single CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) means that you'll study on one visa for the entire programme – you don’t have to pay for flights home to renew your visa after Year 1 and can stay in the UK to work over the summer.

At selected centers, we also offer a number of study abroad programs which combine a postgraduate pathway with a UK Master's degree in a single study plan. Students will receive one iCAS (integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)), meaning you can apply for one visa for the full duration of your studies.

Leading to MSc Sustainable Aquaculture

Develop expertise in aquatic animal farming and food production systems on the MSc Sustainable Aquaculture. Tailor your degree to suit your aquaculture career goals.

The Aquaculture sector in the UK was valued at £1.4bn in 2025. It’s expected to experience annual growth over the next five years, at a rate of 5.3% from 2025 to 2030 (source: IBIS World 2024). Skilled sustainable aquaculture specialists are needed to meet demand.

Our Masters in Sustainable Aquaculture explores the principles of aquaculture. It focuses on the key factors influencing the viability of aquatic animal farming and food production systems. You’ll develop an in-depth knowledge of:

  • aquatic animal biology,
  • environmental issues,
  • nutrition,
  • reproduction and genetics,
  • disease and health management.
