Program Overview

As an international student, you might need, or benefit from, a pathway course before you start to a degree. A pathway course is often necessary because of different education systems of UK and your home country. The International Foundation Year offered by INTO Group, is perfect for international students who do not meet the academic requirements. It'll boost your academic and language skills, and improve your subject knowledge, to the level needed for entry to a degree at the University of East Anglia

International Foundation in Media, Social Science and Law is a three-term program offered by INTO Group. Prepare for entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree in a vast range of subjects, including law, film studies, global development and politics at the University of East Anglia (UEA). This includes subjects taught at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the School of Global Development and UEA Law School – three vibrant communities of expert academics and highly ambitious students.

Leading to:- Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Education, Special Educational Needs, and Inclusion
This innovative course allows you to study media and international development, and the relationship between them. The media are important to all aspects of international development, from promoting mass mobilisation and political participation to facilitating the flow of information. At the same time, the media is central to encouraging charitable donations, promoting democracy and human rights, and delivering public health messages during emergencies.

This course will enable you to bring an international outlook to a career in media or an in depth understanding of media to a career in international development. You’ll graduate particularly well prepared for careers in NGO communications, development journalism, humanitarian communication and media development.

This degree is unique in the UK in combining media and international development studies side by side. In both fields you’ll be taught by academic staff whose research is internationally renowned. We’re actively involved in research across the globe, working with many national and international development agencies.

In your third year, you’ll spend two to six months gaining work experience abroad. For many students, this is the highlight of their time at university.
