The aim of the programme is to develop a strong foundation in technical and analytics skills; communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities necessary to operate in business, scientific, organisational, or consultancy contexts where technology and data are ubiquitous; and critical and creative thinking to understand how detailed analysis and big-picture perspectives come together to generate insights that inform decision-making. 

The Fintech major responds to the rapid digital transformation in the Financial sector. It equips you with the skills needed to innovate and analyse data in areas such as digital banking, algorithmic trading, and financial risk assessment.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Data Analytics demonstrate a unique and highly sought-after combination of skills. You will be thoroughly prepared for the world of work with a range of valuable and highly transferable technical and analytics skills. You will be trained to utilise your superior analytic skills in a variety of organisational, scientific, and business contexts. While all graduates develop core technical, analytical, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, you will also demonstrate a depth of knowledge through a specific area of focus in data science or business intelligence.
