This Master’s programme in Healthcare Informatics equips you with the essential skills to address complex healthcare challenges using digital technologies and data analytics.  

  • In the first trimester, you’ll build a strong foundation in strategic information systems, database management, and research methods, with a focus on designing culturally appropriate systems for M?ori and Pasifika health services.
  • In the second trimester, the focus shifts to digital healthcare design, health analytics, and data safety, emphasizing the importance of addressing cultural health disparities and ensuring the security of sensitive healthcare data.
  • The programme culminates in a capstone project, allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world healthcare issues.

    • Minimum Level of Education Required: To be accepted into this program, applicants must have a  bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, or related disciplines; OR an acceptable equivalent qualification from a recognised institution overseas, AND
    • Applicants without quantitative or analytical subjects in their transcripts must submit a cover letter demonstrating their analytical abilities through projects or relevant work experience.
