After completing your Level 5 and Level 6 Diplomas with NorthTec, you can enter directly into the third year of the Bachelor of Sport, Exercise and Health at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). You’ll study locally in Whang?rei, based at the High-Performance Lab in Kensington Stadium.

In Northland, this degree is offered with a major in Sport and Exercise Science and a minor in Sport Interdisciplinary Practice.

Throughout your studies, you’ll explore the powerful role that sport, exercise, and wellbeing play in addressing some of today’s biggest challenges – from enhancing athletic performance to improving community health. The programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing you to make a real difference in the world of sport and exercise.

What you will learn

Our courses honour M?tauranga M?ori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, weaving together culture, science, and practice. You’ll develop expertise across areas such as movement, leadership, physical education, nutrition, coaching, and exercise science – setting you up for an exciting and diverse career in the sport, health, or fitness industries.
