You will be interested in the Health Sciences major program if you want to understand issues affecting health and disease, environmental issues that affect communities and global health, or multi-level health policy making.


What you’ll learn

Teaching Methods

The BSc program features hands-on laboratory experience. Upper division laboratory courses in health sciences offer unique opportunities to perform experiments in toxicology, pharmacology, virology and immunology. Quantitative computer modeling laboratories, for example involving GIS, spatial statistics and population databases are also available.

The Bennett Family Entrance Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

The endowment supporting the Bennett Family Entrance Scholarship was established in 2019 with a generous gift from Jim Bennett. One entrance scholarship will be offered annually in the fall term to an applicant entering SFU from Holy Cross Regional High School (Surrey, BC).

Only eligible applicants from the Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship competition will be considered for this opportunity.
