General Foundation Studies Program
The General Foundation Studies Program is a university entry program designed for international students who have completed a minimum of year 11 or its equivalent.

Articulation to Western Sydney University

Students must:

  • Pass all the units including core and pathway specific
  • Achieve a minimum GPA as required for entry to your intended Bachelor course program^
  • Achieve a minimum grade requirement for specific unit/s as required for entry to your intended Bachelor course^

These criteria are subject to change.

Meeting these criteria will qualify students for entry into the first year of Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours).
 

Leading to: Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours)

Graduates in industrial design are expected create and innovate by adding value to experiences, interaction, products, businesses and systems. They are design entrepreneurs and experts that can problem-solve ambiguity. You will need to work independently or in collaboration with others in new product development teams, user experience and interaction, product service systems, production and manufacturing. The program culminates in a final year industrial design project intending to develop visionary work leading to industry placement, Masters or PhD research place of design in society and its effect on people, the environment and the economy. You will have an opportunity to apply skills and knowledge gained from this degree in a workplace setting, through an internship or an engaging work-integrated learning experience.
 

Major: Design Practice

This major has a focus on change, digital innovation and incorporates simulation and incubators for students who wish to pursue a corporate design role, or build their own start-up business generating new value and driving dynamic careers.
